Mimosa Link - experimental Windows helper, Windows 10/11, Windows PowerShell 5.1.
Extract all files then double-click Install.cmd once. No administrator access is requested.
The helper is unsigned. If Windows or an organization policy blocks installation, stop and contact support. Do not disable protection or execution policies.
Setup registers only HKCU\Software\Classes\mimosa-unlock and copies MimosaLink.ps1 to LocalAppData\MimosaUnlockLink. No automatic startup, passwords, firmware updates, unlock operations or remote shell execution.
Return to the website, click Connect device and allow the browser to open Mimosa Link. Confirm the local consent dialog. Keep the website tab open. Internet access and an active Ethernet connection are both required.
Discovery is bounded to Ethernet gateways, the passive neighbor cache and the usual default radio address when on the same subnet. Other IP addresses may not be discovered. A found IP is not proof of a Mimosa radio; HTTPS page text is only an identification hint. Certificate validation is not bypassed.
Local IP addresses and diagnostic booleans are sent over HTTPS to www.mimosaunlock.com. An optional SNMPv2c GET reads serial and firmware on one explicitly selected address with a locally entered read-only community. It sends only read status, formatted serial and firmware version after consent. Community is not stored or sent to the website, but travels unencrypted on the LAN. Never use on untrusted networks. No default community guessing, SET operations, SNMP walks, key retrieval, hostname, MAC address, Wi-Fi neighbors, device passwords or firmware contents are collected.
SNMP OIDs (GET only) are 1.3.6.1.4.1.43356.2.1.2.1.2.0 and 1.3.6.1.4.1.43356.2.1.2.1.3.0, derived from Mimosa's BASE and BFIVE MIB files mirrored in LibreNMS. Actual field availability depends on model, firmware and access configuration. SNMPv3 is not implemented. Device testing remains required.
Pairing credentials expire after 15 minutes. A report can be submitted once. Close the browser page to clear its in-memory credential. The next session uses the installed helper again, without reinstalling.
This version has not been tested on a physical Windows laptop or Mimosa radio. Automated firmware update and unlock support is NOT included.
